1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of Tapiie products, services, software, websites, QR codes, NFC-enabled products, notifications, applications, and associated platform functionality (“Services”).

By creating an account, activating a Tapiie product, accessing the Tapiie platform, or using any Tapiie service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use Tapiie products or services.

2. About Tapiie

Tapiie products and services are designed to help provide quick access to information entered by the account holder or authorised account manager.

Tapiie is an informational platform only.

Tapiie is not:

  • A medical device

  • A healthcare provider

  • An emergency response service

  • A monitoring system

  • An insurance product

  • A substitute for professional medical advice, treatment, diagnosis, or emergency care

Tapiie does not provide medical advice, medical diagnosis, treatment recommendations, monitoring, emergency dispatch, or healthcare services.

Users should always seek advice from qualified healthcare professionals regarding medical conditions, treatment decisions, medication, allergies, or healthcare concerns.

3. Emergency Use Disclaimer

Tapiie products should not be relied upon as a substitute for emergency services.

In a medical emergency, users should immediately contact their local emergency services provider.

Tapiie cannot guarantee that emergency responders, healthcare professionals, schools, organisations, carers, members of the public, or any third party will:

  • Scan a Tapiie product

  • Access a Tapiie profile

  • Read information stored within the profile

  • Act upon the information available

  • Contact emergency contacts

  • Respond within any timeframe

Users acknowledge that Tapiie products are designed only to assist with access to information and are not guaranteed emergency response systems.

4. User Responsibility

The information displayed within a Tapiie profile is user-generated content.

The account holder or authorised profile manager is solely responsible for ensuring that all information entered into the platform is:

  • Accurate

  • Complete

  • Lawful

  • Up to date

  • Authorised for upload

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Medical information

  • Allergies

  • Medication details

  • Emergency contacts

  • Uploaded documents

  • Personal information

  • Profile photographs

  • Care information

Users are responsible for reviewing and updating information regularly.

Tapiie shall not be responsible for any consequences arising from inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, misleading, unauthorised, or omitted information.

5. Profiles Created for Other People

Users may create and manage profiles on behalf of:

  • Children

  • Dependants

  • Relatives

  • Patients

  • Individuals under their care

By doing so, users confirm that they have the appropriate authority, consent, parental responsibility, legal authority, safeguarding authority, or lawful basis required to upload, manage, store, process, or share information relating to another individual.

The user creating or managing the profile accepts full responsibility for:

  • The information entered

  • Profile management

  • Account access

  • Consent management

  • Compliance with applicable laws

6. Availability of Services

Access to profiles, websites, applications, notifications, SMS alerts, QR code functionality, NFC functionality, and online services depends on numerous external factors including:

  • Internet availability

  • Mobile network coverage

  • Device compatibility

  • Browser support

  • Battery levels

  • Operating system limitations

  • Third-party providers

  • Regional restrictions

  • Cloud infrastructure

  • Security settings

  • User permissions

Tapiie makes no guarantees regarding:

  • Continuous availability

  • Uptime

  • Speed

  • Delivery timing

  • Notification timing

  • SMS delivery

  • Email delivery

  • Access to profiles

  • Platform compatibility

  • Emergency response outcomes

Some Tapiie products may support NFC technology. NFC functionality depends entirely on the compatibility and configuration of the scanning device. Certain devices, regions, operating systems, browsers, or security settings may restrict or disable NFC functionality.

Optional location-sharing features depend entirely on permissions granted by the scanning device, operating system, browser, or end user. Location information may be unavailable, delayed, inaccurate, denied, approximate, or incomplete.

7. Account Security

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of:

  • Login credentials

  • Passwords

  • Devices

  • Authentication methods

  • Account access

Users should:

  • Use strong passwords

  • Protect devices appropriately

  • Avoid credential sharing

  • Monitor account activity

Tapiie shall not be liable for unauthorised access caused by:

  • Weak passwords

  • Credential sharing

  • Device compromise

  • Malware

  • Phishing attacks

  • User negligence

  • Third-party access

  • Unsecured devices

8. Appropriate Use

Users agree not to:

  • Use Tapiie unlawfully

  • Upload false or misleading information

  • Attempt to compromise platform security

  • Interfere with the operation of the platform

  • Use the platform for fraudulent purposes

  • Upload unlawful, abusive, defamatory, or harmful content

  • Attempt unauthorised access to systems or accounts

Tapiie reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable laws.

9. Intellectual Property

All Tapiie branding, software, designs, graphics, content, trademarks, logos, technology, platform functionality, and intellectual property remain the property of Tapiie or its licensors.

Users may not:

  • Redistribute

  • Resell

  • Replicate

  • Exploit

any part of the platform or services without prior written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

Users acknowledge and accept that Tapiie does not guarantee:

  • Safety outcomes

  • Prevention of harm

  • Availability of services

  • Delivery of alerts

  • Successful communication

11. Third-Party Services

Tapiie may rely upon third-party providers for:

Tapiie is not responsible for outages, interruptions, failures, delays, or issues caused by third-party providers.

16. Emergency SMS Notifications

Users may optionally enable SMS notifications for emergency contacts.

By enabling SMS notifications, the user confirms they have obtained the emergency contact’s consent to receive these messages.

Recipients may opt out at any time by replying STOP.
